Home Contra Forgotten Worlds

Capcom's Forgotten Worlds came to the Sega Genesis in 1988, a time when the console was still building its library. It was a port of an arcade game, which meant it brought a certain intensity and visual style that felt distinct from many early Genesis titles.

You control a lone soldier equipped with a jetpack, moving freely in any direction across each screen. Your main goal is to survive the onslaught of bizarre enemies and massive bosses across a series of strange, interconnected levels. A key mechanic is the rotating satellite weapon that orbits your character, letting you aim and fire in 360 degrees; you also collect gold from defeated foes to spend between stages on temporary power-ups or extra lives. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is steep, demanding quick reflexes and careful resource management. It feels like a constant, chaotic scramble for survival where every credit counts.
